The Scapa Flow Landscape Partnership Scheme

Wartime in Orkney - Education Pack

Scapa Flow Landscape Partnership Scheme has created this resource for schools to share, based on unique research conducted by the Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology (ORCA) and the guidance of local teachers and historians, to provide practical, interpretive and reflective activities for both primary and secondary classes.

Use this material when planning a class trip  to key wartime sites around Scapa Flow., or to supplement classroom tools such as the wartime air and sea defence floor-map which has been supplied to all schools in Orkney.

The Education Pack consists of seven sections. Each of which is composed of information, work sheets and activities in word document, PDFs and image formats. Click on the hyperlink to download a zipped archive of the required section.
