SS Lake Neuchatel, wreck site, Kirk Sound

SS Lake Neuchatel (also referred to as Lake Neuchatte) was built in 1907 by William Doxford and Sons Ltd of Sunderland. Sunk as a blockship in Kirk Sound to protect Scapa Flow in WWII, she was salvaged for scrap by Metal Industries Ltd in 1948 and nothing now remains.
There are now no blockships at Barrier no 1.
