St Andrew’s Chapel, South Ronaldsay

The remains can be found here of a pre-reformation chapel, possibly from the 14th century. The attached burial ground is enclosed by an almost circular bank about 25 metres wide.  The outline of the chapel survives as a vague grass covered foundation. This site is being gradually worn away by coastal erosion.
