St Mary’s Village, Holm

St Mary's was once a thriving fishing village, with access to the ocean through Kirk Sound, until the building of the First Churchill Barrier. There are good views across to two of the Churchill Barriers, as well as the Girnel and the Holm Totem Pole. The present football ground stands on the site of the large blockworks factory that provided the concrete blocks for the Barriers.
