HMS Strathgarry, wreck site, Hoxa Sound
HMS Strathgarry was a single deck steam trawler built in 1906 by Hall, Russell and Co, Aberdeen. She was requisitioned by the Admiralty during WWI and undertook her military service as a boom defence vessel covering Hoxa Sound. She was sunk after a collision with another boat on 6 July 1915, although sources vary on the detail of the incident.
The wreck lies more or less intact on the seabed of Hoxa Sound.
